With Halloween approaching, Instagram has announced some spooky features which includes keyword triggered animations in story templates, DMs, Halloween font and lot more. Instagram has added secret Halloween themed keywords in notes and DMs which activates animations and effects.
If you use specific keywords in your DM, it will trigger animations such as bats flying across the screen. Using some of the keywords like Trick or Treat, Happy Halloween or Halloween will prompt these animations.
You can use Meta AI tools for generation of any other background of your choice. Instagram has added five custom Add Your template for prompting stories interaction for the event. It prompts story viewer to share Halloween themed images or answer themed questions among other options.
The new templates are available in the Happy Halloween section of the Add Your Template Discovery Surface in stories. It has also added a new Halloween font as well as text effect.
Users will be able to generate Halloween themed image and content using Meta AI. Definitely, it is a fun activation and would definitely help users get into the Halloween spirit and also help advertisers make use of fonts and features for dressing up their Halloween posts and communications.
There would be colored marker feature in the Instagram DM where users would be able to draw doodles on the DM page for other people to see it. One would also be able to drag and drop different types of emojis and stickers anywhere in the chat. It is great for adding of spooky elements to messages so that one can draw pumpkins, ghosts, bats or things which can get you in Halloween mood.
There is another feature called Notes Secret Phases where when users would be using certain emojis or words in the Notes section of the profile, new animations and themes would be triggered that would be matching the holiday. So in case of Halloween, if certain trigger words like Halloweekened, Happy Halloween are used, the Note would be changing colors to green orange or purple and it would also be triggering fun Halloween themes animations which users would be using to discover for themselves.
New Spooky Fonts have also been introduced where users would be able to access new Halloween themed fonts for using them on their Reels and Stories. The font would be Paranormal font, would be having a spooky effect and would be inspired by old classic horror movies.
They have also come up with Restyle tools which would make it extremely easy to add elements to your pictures for touching up your costumes. One would also be able to add Halloween accessories such as jack-o-lanterns and witch hats and also change hair color. One would also be able to use retouching tools for removing unwanted objects.
They have also introduced Spooky Story Frames where Instagram users would be able to use different frames in the app for adding borders and frames to their Instagram Stories. The borders would be Halloween themes and there would be also be ones with spider webs, bats and pumpkins.
They have also launched DM Doodles and Stickers where there would be a colored marker feature in Instagram DM and users would be able to draw doodles on the DM page for other people to see it. One would also be able to drag and drop different emojis and stickers anywhere in the chat. It is considered perfect for addition of spooky elements to your messages and one would be able to draw bats, ghosts, pumpkins or anything else to get you in the Halloween mood. The Halloween feature from Instagram is now available for users.
