Are you looking out to improve your skills in the fast changing work environment? Linkedin has come up with Linkedin Learning Career Hub which works towards helping in guiding professionals though industry related skills and updates for ensuring that they are on the correct track for achieving career goals.
Linkedin Career Hub would be providing an easier path for both employees and companies to maximize their learning depending upon industry needs and trends within the organization. The Career Hub includes three major pathways for training and development which are as follows:
- The trending skills insight would be helping the organizations in understanding the skills which their employees are having so that it can help in identification of gaps and emerging trends across industries. It uses a combination of internal data from Linkedin profiles of employee with external benchmarks for supporting smarter learning and talent decisions.
- Internal Mobility focuses on employees and looks at connecting employees with internal career opportunities. Linkedin would be highlighting the skills required for these roles and suggest relevant courses users could take up for enhancing their skills.
- There would be Role Guides which would be providing in depth information on how employees would be able to upskill and align their capacity for related roles. This would be bringing together Linkedin data and insights, talent expertise and quality content for equipping with next steps for building skills for specific roles at the company.
Linkedin Career Hub would be showcasing your career opportunities and pathways within the organization whereas Role Guides would be giving further insights into skills needed and how the current skills would be matching up. It would then be pointing you to relevant courses along with specific focus on AI upskilling and ensuring that members maximize their understanding of how AI tools would be changing their workplace.

Linkedin has unlocked 34 AI courses and 4 AI Skill Pathways within Linkedin Learning through 22nd November which gives users opportunity for enhancing their knowledge on this aspect. Due to this Linkedin has witnessed a major increase in interest in AI based roles and skills and more industries are looking to jump aboard the AI train.
Research has shown that businesses are failing to maximize their use of AI as staff are not equipped for making best use of this tool and are instead reverting to lazy use of AI as replacement for human work. AI works as a guide in a curated way and more businesses need to train their staff on proper AI use for building on these opportunities. For this reason, Linkedin Learning elements are important and could power the next shift in technological usage.
I believe this is a great way for users to maximize their skills using the tool launched by Linkedin which will help them in enhancing their learning and help them move forward in their career.
