Come this Valentine’s Day and Instagram has launched some new features with variety of Valentine’s activations in the app for helping to light up your Stories and DMs. It has added some new effects for Notes which would be displayed on any Note which includes specific Valentine related terms which includes pookie, ily, vday and much more.
If you add notes which includes any of the chosen romance related terms it would get a special background and effect within the Notes displayed in the app. It has also added themed fonts and text effects which includes custom display when tagging friends in Stories.
Instagram has also gone ahead and added some new chat themes for the occasion which includes Sweetheart, Love and Candy Hearts. Also, a range of Valentine inspired custom submitted Stories templates have been added for encouraging engagement. Apart from this, IG has also added Vinyl music stickers which lets users add songs to their Stories which would play within the display.
Not only are the DM and Stories romantic but also interactive which would heighten the extra level of interest. They have also added effect in DMs which would present the recipient with an animation for DMs which includes certain conditions.
In Stories, DMS, Notes and Reels, this is what you need to look out for. Look for secret phrases in DMs and Notes and unlock special effects with the use of words like ily, vday and pookie in direct messages or Notes. In case of Text effects and Themed Fonts, add retro touch to Reels and Stories along with a custom text effect while tagging friends. For Chat Themes, customize your DM chats with new Valentine Day theme or use them as subtle hint for your crush. In Vinyl Music Sticker, add a song to the Story with limited time vinyl record sticker and give a scratch to it for revealing its effect.
The second feature has been made available in Stories. Instagram Stories now feature floating hearts which add a delightful touch to interactions of users. While posting a Story or engaging with @mention, cascade of animated hearts would be gracing the screen which creates a captivating visual experience. The @mention sticker within the Stories sticker tray would be adorned with charming hearts which would be further enhancing its appeal.
This platform has also been experimenting with AI based features off late. A report stated that Instagram has been working on AI message writing feature which would be allowing users to paraphrase, rewrite and make stylistic changes to their written messages in the chat. Even though the feature has been tipped to be known as Write with AI, it would be working more as an editing tool. As of now, full functionality of the feature is still not known.
Some of the filters which one can use are Cupid Filter, Heart Love Filter, Bold as Love Filter, Love above Filter, Pink Love Filter, Kiss Me Filter, Heart Freckles Filter, U Make Me Blush Filter and Masks of Love filter. These special Valentine themed filters include different AR effects which add the red and pink colors of holiday of love to the Stories. For finding the filters, one must go to the respective creators Instagram, tap on the smiley face icon and then find out the filter by its name. Once you are able to find it, you can try it and save it on your Instagram camera. After saving them all to the camera, one can easily share flying red and pink hearts all over the Story.
Even though everyone would not be a fan of pink, it would be another way of showing your significant other than you care for them this Valentine Week.
