Two Day Meta Connect Conference has been launched by Meta which showcases a range of next level projects which includes AI glasses models and next level digital interaction tools. Their star launch is Ray Ban branded AI glasses which includes heads up display elements to overlay info on the wearer view. Users will be able to engage with digital interface through small screen overlaid inside lens which wearer would be able to control through Meta wristband device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The neutral wristband from Meta makes use of electromyography for detecting muscle movement which can be translated into digital signals. At the end of the day what you get is a new way of interacting with digital environment which Meta hopes would become the foundation for its futuristic AR and VR projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So the Neural Band would be replacing buttons, touchscreens and dials with a sensor on the wrist so that one can silently click and scroll in the future and even write out message with the use of simple finger movements. This wristband has 18 hours of battery life and is water resistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mark Zuckerberg showed various uses for the device which included the ability to quickly call or message someone with subtle gestures or translating handwriting to text on screen. Control is the key and it would require a shift to get people away from taps and swipes and move towards more intuitive controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Neural wristband has a battery life of 18 hours and is considered to be water resistant. The wrist controller which Meta has been developing for years, its commercial launch is considered to be critical element of Zuckerberg vision for having glasses over take as the major connective device and surpass phones as mobile link to the online world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This would not be easy and it would be requiring a major shift towards getting people away from swipes and taps and moving towards less controls. Though Meta would be launching its fully enabled AR glasses next year, the ability to engage through wrist controller would be a key entry point for the tech. As of now it would take time to gain traction and for this reason Meta has started off with basic functions and controls and not with full AR. It would be helping with everyday life such as getting information regarding what you can see, engaging with messages etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Display AI glasses would be priced at $799 and would be launched on 30th September. The company has also announced a new AI glasses model for athletes with its Oakley Meta Vanguard glass which has been designed for minimizing weight and tracking performance and health data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vanguard AI glasses come with camera in the middle of the frame which ensures better distribution of weight with less weight as there is only one camera. The Vanguard glasses have a wider field of view along with improved video stabilization for active use. It has also added slow motion and Hyperlapse camera mode and it\u2019s also partnering with companies like Strava and Garmin for syncing relevant performance data with device. The Vanguard glasses would be selling for $499 and pre-orders would be shipped in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Updates have been announced to Meta Ray Ban AI glasses which includes improved battery life, live translation, 3k video recording and Conversation Focus which amplifies voices of friends in your ear. Live AI has also been getting an upgrade which would let the system provide more active assistance for informational tasks depending on what you can visualize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
