Now another feature is being launched by Instagram which is a new profile card and can be termed as a digital business card for your profile. It was just few months back that this feature was tested with selected creators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This two-sided profile card has been designed for making it easier for users to share their Instagram account with others, so what this means is that now there is no longer need to share your Instagram handle with someone rather you can just share the card with them. This would make it easier for you to enhance your connections further with new people and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this shareable card, on one side your Instagram profile information such as bio, picture and any other links on the profile can be pulled whereas on the other side is a QR code which links the profile. Also, the background of the profile card can be customized with an image your choice to better express yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature is being rolled out globally and will help in increasing connections and help people to market themselves in a better manner. The Instagram profile card can be shared on other platforms to encourage people to check out your account and follow you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Profile Card feature has been launched in response to GenZ using Instagram as a resume of sorts nowadays as most of them want to become an influencer. The profile card can be shared with collaborators and brands in quick manner which can benefit all. It can also be used as a means of sharing profile card in Instagram groups or online events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though Instagram has been allowing users to share their accounts via QR codes since 2018 but this card would be sharing details in a more elaborate manner. This upgradation would be beneficial to small businesses, freelancers and content creators but it is not sure how it would be helping users who are using Instagram just as a social media platform other than professionalizing casual interactions. This new feature is not digital payment apps like Cash App and Venmo which lets users share profiles. This is a two sided profile card where one side is of scannable QR code and other features short bio, profile picture, IG handle and a song of your choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So how it functions is that one needs to go to their profile and click on Share Profile. After this, the profile card would show up automatically. You need to click the pencil icon on the upper right corner for editing elements of your profile and this is where you will be able to update your information on your profile, add your favorite music and project links and change the background image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature has been rolled out across the globe and it would be aimed towards people who would like to grow and market themselves. It would also help you share your profile card on other platforms for encouraging people to checkout your account and follow you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature has been launched in response to Gen Z using their Instagram as a resume now and in a survey conducted by the company they found out that nearly half of Ge Z users would like to become influencers and for this very reason social network is looking to help them present themselves to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though Instagram has been allowing users to share their accounts through QR codes since 2018, the new profile card has been offering a more detailed manner of doing so. Rather than giving others a bit of look into your content and interests, it would end up leading to more connections when compared to standard QR code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
